True Wealth

(Excerpted from original piece)
Too many people are focused on becoming a millionaire when they should be focused on True Wealth.
True wealth focuses on the combination of your five pillars of health:
Mental
Spiritual
Physical
Financial
Emotional
When you're healthy in each area, you're truly wealthy.
We achieve mental, spiritual, physical, financial, and emotional health when we focus on our life purpose, financial independence, strong relationships, as well as physical and spiritual nourishment.
Picture yourself with a True Wealth Bank Account. Whenever you make a decision, ask yourself: “Am I making a deposit or a withdrawal to my True Wealth Account?” Focus on deposits, always.
Make your life’s purpose intentional by building your Life Purpose Portfolio, which includes killing your ego, living your values, and being an incomparable you. When you live with purpose, your life will be well-lived. Your daily actions in life should align with your purpose.
Kill Your Ego
We're socially programmed from early childhood to want a new car, a nice house, the fancy title, and new promotion. Stop and ask yourself, “Do I want this? Does this align with my bigger purpose? Do I know what that purpose is?”
Live Your Values
Consider the people you admire and ask yourself:
What behaviors do they have?
What traits are visible to you?
What books do they read?
What do they listen to?
How do they behave?
Use this information to determine what you value and how to live.
An Incomparable You
You are a masterpiece and also a work in progress. The best part is you're the artist! Do not get caught up in the comparison game, which does not end well for anyone. When crafting your life purpose portfolio, make it uniquely your own.
Goodwill & Strong Relationships
Goodwill and strong relationships help us bounce back from life-altering setbacks, and the people we surround ourselves with determine our success in life. Choose your circle, choose your rooms, and trust that service to others > the highest pay.
The circle you surround yourself with is the circle that will make you. Your network is your Net Worth. Surround yourself with people who will push, challenge and support you. If you want to increase your intelligence, never be the smartest person in the room. If you want to be fitter, don't be the fittest person in the room. Choose the room to align with your goals.
When you help others, you're helping yourself. Your material wealth will not live on when you're gone, but the people you touched and the charity you provided will live in the hearts of the people you touched. Choose wisely.
Physical & Spiritual Nourishment
We need strong physical, spiritual, and emotional health. Covid brought to light how fragile these three things can be and that without health, there truly is no wealth. Learn to slow down, pause, breathe and listen.
The power of pause. Spirituality/Meditation. Mindfulness. Slowing down. Being present. Doing this, you will be able to recognize you are already enough. No amount of material objects will impact that and you can let go of the "wants.”
